The SHRED Notion Noshock Helmet is a great piece of protective gear that caters to the needs of snowboarders and skiers who demand the highest safety, comfort, and performance. Its standout feature is SHRED’s Smart Impact Protection™ technology, which integrates the Rotational Energy System™ (RES) and Slytech™ Shock Absorption. This innovative technology is designed to manage both rotational and linear impact forces, providing comprehensive protection in the event of a fall or collision. Thankfully I have never fallen hard enough to test this technology but knowing this protection is there, allows you to ride with a lot of confidence.
The helmet’s construction combines a hard shell upper and an in-molded lower shell and sidewalls. This combination results in a lightweight yet incredibly durable helmet that can withstand the rigors of intense winter sports. The hybrid construction enhances the helmet’s durability and ensures that it remains comfortable to wear for extended periods. Even after hours on the slopes, the helmet feels light and unobtrusive.
Ventilation is another area where the SHRED Notion Noshock Helmet excels. It features a three-position switch that allows users to control sixteen top, back, and side vents. The Notion Noshock also has the Fidlock magnetic closure. I personally really appreciate these for their ease of use. It does come with ear flap/covers for extra warmth. I usually remove these as I wear a facemask and hood under my helmet. The Noshock pairs seamlessly with SHRED’s goggles as well.
