The Union Falcor binding is a standout in the high-performance binding category, designed for advanced riders seeking a combination of precision, power, and lightweight durability. For the latest model, Union refined several key features to enhance the riding experience:
Highback Design:
The new Duraflex Blue and Italian-made Forged Carbon(assembled by one employee!) combine for an improved balance of stiffness and flexibility. The updated design focuses on reducing weight while providing better torsional control, making it ideal for aggressive riding, but also balancing edge-to-edge control with freestyle flexibility and comfort, the best of both worlds. The asymmetrical shape follows the angle of your leg for a more anatomical fit and flex. It performs just as well for the weekend warrior looking for a balanced feel while riding resort terrain.
Redesigned 24-25 Falcor (Left) vs. Previous years Falcor (right)

Baseplate Enhancements:
Union’s all-new 2-layer baseplate. The direct connect MD core and the asymmetrical Halo base frame ensuring enhanced energy transfer and responsiveness creating a responsive feel without sacrificing freestyle movement. The addition of the Asymmetrical molecular bushing dampens vibrations, offering a smoother ride without sacrificing precision, particularly noticeable in uneven terrain or choppy snow, and the all-new asymmetrical bushing shape allows for freestyle flexibility.

Hybrid 1.0 Ankle Strap:
The redesigned ankle straps (all new V cut shape) provide even distribution of pressure, eliminating pressure points while maintaining a locked-in feel. Combined with the new TS 6.0+ toe straps, the bindings deliver excellent foot security and comfort for all-day sessions.

Durability and Adjustability:
Union continues to prioritize bombproof construction with forged carbon elements, ensuring longevity even under intense use. The tool-free adjustability makes on-the-go adjustments effortless, catering to riders who value customization.
Chris’ Review:
Over the past 5 years, I’ve been riding the Falcor on all of my setups, it’s been my go-to binding for all conditions and riding in Colorado. So when we had the opportunity to see what T. Rice and Union had cooked up for a redesign I was really excited to see the changes. I was fortunate enough to get several weeks of riding in on the redesigned Falcor. The differences, for me, from the previous model were the asymmetrical highback design making me feel more connected to my board and freestyle feel of the previous version being still present in the redesigned Falcor, something I appreciate when riding everything on the mountain, including park and pipe. The ankle strap also was a huge plus for me, while I appreciated the exoframe strap light weight feeling from the previous version, the plush ankle strap felt like there were less pressure points when riding for a full day. I also appreciate the design elements made to the base plate. You’ll notice, in pow especially, it acts like a channel pushing snow away from the binding and reduces build up, a nice touch. I also appreciate the eco-friendly material introduced in this binding with Duraflex blue(nylon), not only meeting performance standards in cold conditions, but focusing on sustainability.
Overall Impressions
The Union Falcor is a dreamy binding for hard-charging riders who love big mountain lines, high-speed carving, and technical freestyle. However it also is a great intermediate binding for those riders who prefer a high-performance binding that will do it all, it will provide most riders with a locked-in feel in any terrain from park to powder at resorts or in the backcountry/sidecountry. It excels in providing a perfect blend of lightweight construction, support, and responsiveness. While its stiffness may be a bit much for beginner or low intermediate riders, it’s a stellar choice for the high intermediate to advanced rider looking for high-performance binding that can handle any type of terrain.
Why I Like It:
What stood out during my time with the Falcor was the sheer confidence it inspires. The precise energy transfer and locked-in fit made every turn feel powerful and deliberate, while the damping system allowed me to charge through choppy snow without fatigue. These bindings are perfect for riders who demand top-tier performance without compromise.
If you’re ready to elevate your riding, the Union Falcor is undoubtedly worth the investment.
Dave’s Review
Chris and I stopped by the Union Bindings booth at Interlude 2024. The first thing that caught my eye was the redesigned Falcor. I have always been a huge fan of the Falcors, but the 2024/2025 Union Falcor redesign is a game-changer. Union and Travis Rice have taken an already great binding and pushed it to the next level.
Overall Impressions
I have used the Falcor binding on a lot of my setups. What was a great binding already, received a major overhaul. It has to be one of the most comfortable bindings I have ever used. The straps glide with ease into the buckles and feel like part of your boot, with no pressure points or foot cramping. The dampening from the Molecular Bushing is pretty spectacular, hard landings, chatter, etc. you hardly feel a thing. It has a lot of unique features that add to the overall function and ease of these bindings. They are also built to be bomb-proof without sacrificing comfort and functionality. Union and Travis Rice left no stone unturned with the overhaul. The Union Falcor is a testament to innovation and performance. It’s a top-tier binding that will elevate your riding experience.
